Nothing is neutral. Every decision we make and every action we take moves us closer to success or failure.

[SPOILERS!] Mass Effect 2: Conflict Resolution

This video is a response to a request on the Bioware forums to see all the different ways to regain loyalty after the conflict between Miranda and Jack, and also Tali and Legion.

Some people have trouble resolving these team conflicts. Even though Shepard’s Paragon or Renegade score is maxed out, some options may still be unavailable if you have used neutral dialogue or roleplayed choices opposite your Shepard’s alignment. This is an easy problem to run into if you imported a character from Mass Effect 1, starting Mass Effect 2 with a bonus Paragon or Renegade score. The game still keeps track of the choices you make, even when your score is maxed out, so keep that in mind if you want every option to be available to you.

When I played the Paragon and Renegade in this video, I went out of my way to always take the appropriate option in any dialogue. By doing that, I had the most challenging dialog options available throughout the game. My Renegade Shepard even recruited Morinth. It’s not really necessary to restrict yourself and be so absolute if you’d rather roleplay your choices. You can finish the game and survive the suicide mission even if Miranda, Jack, Tali and Legion are not loyal. You’ll lose some team members, but hey… they don’t call it a suicide mission for nothing.

Good luck with your Paragons and Renegades!

    @fallenangelRulzZ …
    @fallenangelRulzZ If you side with Jack during the fight (telling Maranda to back off), you may have to come back to Miranda later after you have built up more Paragon or Renegade. If you want to be sure to have enough Paragon or Renegade, stick to one path. As you play, don’t choose any Paragon options if you’re a Renegade and vice versa. Don’t choose any middle dialogue options. Keep going back to Miranda and trying, eventually you will have the option to convince her.

    @JusticeDigger …
    @JusticeDigger Different options require different amounts of paragon/renegade. Also, it is important not to skip paragon or renegade options in the dialogue, because the game tracks not only points, but also what dialogue choices you made. I played my Paragon full Paragon, and my Renegade full Renegade, never choosing a middle option and hitting every interrupt event, even after my points were maxed out. I also used ME1 chars, so I had the alignment bonus at the start.
