In his article Dr. Newman deals with issues that are front and center in every organization – not just those he describes.

Because organizations are made up of people and people are, to a greater of lesser degree, predictable – we often see things in our organizations more clearly when we consider those in other organizations.

I think it is because we can look at them from a distance, without emotion and without having to take ownership of the problems, solutions, and specific examples.
