I believe the fundamental, universal cause of every conflict I can think of, whether between individuals or nations, is the inability of the parties to it to communicate. This means the inability to both express what is true for each in a way that the other will be able to hear, and the inability to listen to what is being said due to our own need to be heard.

It is impossible to communicate meaningfully and listen meaningfully at the same time. The most effective single strategy I know of is to talk less and listen more. But it is important to know how to do both. And the sooner we learn to do both of these essential tasks in our dealings with each other, the sooner our conflicts will be resolved.
References :
Conflict can caused by many reasons and it's all around us everyday. The point is examine the situation from both sides then communicate, communicate and communicate in a calm manner to reach the happy medium. Of course, it's easier said than done..... Good luck.
References :
causes of conflict can be anything. I think the best way to resolve conflict is to take a little time away and then to both come back into it with the mind set of trying to understand the other person. Really listen, and be willing to give a little. Decide what is really important to you. Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy? Listen, Listen, Listen.
References :
The desire to survive and propagate one's own kind is the primary cause of conflict....

... And the only strategy for the resolution of conflict is to destroy all your enemies or die trying.
