I hadn’t done anything game related in a while, so I decided, after deciding what genius i was gonna be, to show you some real-life military strategies through Advance wars: Dark Conflict.

I’ve always been interested in strategy and that, and i think The Art of War would be beneficial, but it was meant to be humourous.

I understand that you were trying to show classic battle tactics using AW4 as your medium but i don’t think that this game can be used to demonstrate those strategies.
Although advance wars is an interesting and challenging strategy game it doesn’t have the adaptability to show these tactics properly (the fact that you forces are destroyed considerably in the simulations you created show this), you would have been much better off using an RTS instead.

yeah, it could have been done a lot better but i was working to a time limit and a bigger map=more turns to clear…i might redo it in a later video

you didn’t really show effective flanking, IMO. you ended up with 2 tanks vs artillery, 2 recons and a tank; that’s not strategy, that’s first turn advantage, and throwing away valuable units.
