Conflict in the workplace is inevitable. Creativity and conflict are two sides of the same coin and without creativity a business cannot survive. But conflict cannot be allowed to go unresolved. If that happens it snowballs into a situation where creativity and productivity are both affected. If a person have to overcome conflict he must be An Open Mind, Consider Causes and Listen to People.

Experience has taught us that the best way for people to develop negotiation, mediation and communication skills is through practice and interactive exercises, rather than lectures. I would like to suggest The Stitt Feld Handy Group delivers mediation workshops and conflict management training around the world.

It is a cost that is always there (because as two or more people live and/or work together, they are bound to have differences at one tme or the other and such difference could cause dysfunctional behavior leading to the unattainment of a goal)but not always recognised because of it nature (intangible, and atimes size).

Good overview. In "Don't Bring It to Work" there is a revolutionary reason why conflict gets so dialed up at work. We bring the behavior patterns we learned in our original organization, the family, into the workplace with us.
Now, this does not happen all the time, often we can behave like responsible adults. However, when stress hits the hot button, zoom! We all become the angry toddler, the jealous seven year old, the over-responsible nine year and there is drama, gossip and pot stirring, or over doing martyr style.
Once you learn about these patterns they make sense and can be dealt with in a positive manner. First, they need to be swept from the corners where they lie hidden.
Conflict will never go away, however, you can learn to alleviate it quickly and with less upset by becoming pattern aware!
